Benefits of membership

The benefits of membership include:

A very low subscription rate for the Journal of Linguistics
A 20% discount on OUP Linguistics titles.
Substantial discounts (up to 60%) on various Elsevier titles.
Attendance without surcharge at LAGB conferences.
Generous conference bursaries for student members.
Full members are entitled to apply for a conference sponsorship when organising specialised conferences (up to £300).
Student members are entitled to apply for student-conference sponsorships (up to £600 for cross-institutional conferences).
The right to vote on important business matters.
Access to LAGB discussion forums.

Membership is cheap compared with most other academic organisations and there are specially low membership rates for students. There are four types of membership:

Waged rates

Waged WITHOUT Journal of Linguistics - 3-year membership (£108.00)

Waged WITH Journal of of Linguistics - 3-year membership (£172.80)

Waged WITHOUT Journal of Linguistics - 1-year membership (£40)

Waged WITH Journal of Linguistics - 1-year membership (£64)

Student/unwaged/retired rates

Postgraduate student/Unwaged/Retired WITHOUT Journal of Linguistics (£15)

Postgraduate student/Unwaged/Retired WITH Journal of Linguistics (£27)

NOTE: If you wish to join the Association as a student or unwaged member, you must send some proof of your student/unwaged status (e.g. scanned copy of your student ID) to lagb.office@gmail.com.

Undergraduate student WITHOUT Journal of Linguistics - 2-year membership (£10)

Undergraduate student WITH Journal of Linguistics - 2-year membership (£34)
