The Linguistics Association of Great Britain supports and collaborates with a number of dedicated committees and affiliated initiatives that help advance the Association’s aims across education, social justice, and outreach.
Established in 2000, which represents the Association in educational matters, engages with schools and universities, and responds to national consultations on language policy and curriculum development.
A sub-committee committed to promoting anti-racism and social justice within UK linguistics, particularly in higher education, and organiser of the Activism in Progress series. Videos from the ‘Activism in Progress’ presentation series are hosted on the LAGB YouTube channel YouTube, providing open access to the full series for wider engagement.
Together, these groups contribute to the broader mission of supporting inclusive, informed, and engaged linguistic scholarship and practice.
