From 2026, we have simplified our membership tiers: Waged £45 and Unwaged £20 per year. We also offer Lifetime memberships for £850.
Typically students (full and part time) and retirees are entitled to pay the unwaged rate.
Membership includes generous discounts and access to funding opportunities:
- 20% off all Oxford University Press linguistics titles
- Up to 60% off select Elsevier titles
- 30% off Bloomsbury Linguistics titles
- 25% off Norton and Liveright titles (plus free shipping – time-limited offers)
- Reduced or free attendance at LAGB conferences
- Student bursaries for attending LAGB events
- Conference sponsorship for members organising specialised events
- Up to £300 for full members
- Up to £450 for cross-institutional student conferences
- Up to £300 for single-institution student conferences
From 2026, we are no longer affiliated with the Journal of Linguistics, as they have moved to an Open Access model.
Memberships now last for one calendar year from your subscription date. Existing members who paid for multi-year memberships before 2026 will continue until those expire, after which they would move to an annual rolling membership.
