The winners of the 2026 Why Linguistics Video Competition have now been announced.
This year’s competition, jointly run by CLiE, the Linguistics Association of Great Britain (LAGB), the British Association of Applied Linguistics (BAAL), and Cambridge University Press, invited students and early career researchers to submit short videos explaining what linguistics is and why it matters.
We are delighted to showcase the winning entries, which were selected for their clarity, informativeness, and overall appeal.
