WORKSHOP ON THE SEMANTICS OF EMBEDDING AND THE SYNTAX OF THE LEFT PERIPHERY

This workshop, organised by Angelika Kratzer and David Adger, will be held in conjunction with Angelika Kratzer's Henry Sweet Lecture on 2 September 2014.


WORKSHOP ON LEARNING BIASES IN NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL LANGUAGE ACQUISITION 

This workshop, organised by Adam Albright and Andrew Nevins, will be held in conjunction with Adam Albright's Linguistics Association Lecture on 5 September 2014.


THEMED SESSIONS CONVENED BY MEMBERS

A number of themed sessions dedicated to a particular issue in linguistic theory will take place throughout the conference. Details of how to convene your own themed session are available in the Call for Papers and Themed Sessions.


LANGUAGE TUTORIAL

There will be a Language Tutorial on Armenian (Armenian, Indo-European; Armenia), given by Bert Vaux (University of Cambridge) on 3 and 4 September 2014.


LAGB SUMMER SCHOOL 2014

This new addition to the LAGB Annual Meeting programme will provide postgraduate students with the opportunity to attend masterclasses in linguistics, receive training opportunities, meet linguists and socialise with other postgraduate students from across the UK. The one-day LAGB Summer School will take place on 1 September 2014. This event is co-organised by the LAGB Committee and the LAGB Student Committee.

EDUCATION SESSION

The LAGB Education Committee will hold a two-hour session on grammar teaching for English and foreign languages. Further details will be available on the LAGB Education Committee website.
